1. General
By continuing to use this website you accept these terms and our privacy policy. You must be at least 18 to use the service. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. We don't guarantee the site will always be available and may suspend or withdraw it without notice.
2. Our service and your quotes
We provide an independent online service that lets you research and compare conveyancing provided by third-party firms. The comparison service is free for you to use. We receive a fee and/or commission from the firms that quote: we charge each quoting solicitor a fee for passing your enquiry to them, under formal referral agreements compliant with the SRA's rules on fee sharing and referrals.
All quotes are provided by solicitors regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or licensed conveyancers regulated by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers. Quotes include standard disbursements but may not include every third-party payment (for example searches, telegraphic transfer fees, or stamp duty), which firms will confirm with you directly.
Nothing on this site constitutes legal or financial advice. Submitting your details is a request for quotes from third-party firms; any engagement you enter into is between you and that firm, on that firm's terms.
3. Permitted use
The site is for personal, non-commercial use. You may not scrape it, run automated tools against it, build databases from its content, or use it unlawfully or abusively. You may link to us fairly, provided the link doesn't imply endorsement where none exists.
4. Intellectual property
The content of this site belongs to iPlace Global Ltd and its licensors. You may make limited personal copies. Any content you submit grants us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it for operating and improving the service.
5. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, we don't guarantee the accuracy of information on the site (including third-party data such as Land Registry, EPC and environmental records used to pre-fill the form), and we aren't liable for indirect losses, viruses, or content on third-party websites.
6. Third parties
The firms that quote are independent of us. We don't control them, and your contract for conveyancing is with the firm you instruct, on their terms. Complaints about a firm's service should go to that firm; we'll supply their complaints contact on request.
7. Your responsibilities
Make sure the information you submit is accurate, get permission before submitting anyone else's details, and take your own precautions against viruses.
8. Payments on account
Where you choose to instruct a firm through the site, any payment taken at instruction is paid on account of that firm's fees and is credited in full against the firm's fixed fee. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by English law, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
