1. What we collect
Your name and contact details; the details of your move (postcode, property price, tenure, mortgage status and the other quote questions); property data we fetch from public sources on your behalf (Land Registry, the EPC register, Environment Agency and Ordnance Survey records); and technical data such as IP address, browser and how you used the site.
2. How we use it
Your quote details are matched to regulated conveyancing firms. Those firms contact you with quotes by email, phone or SMS. That's the service; it's the only reason we collect the data.
3. Legal bases
We process your data to deliver the service you've requested (contract), with your consent for analytics cookies and any marketing (opt out any time), under legitimate interests for sharing within the iPlace Global group, and under legal obligation where disclosure is required to regulators such as the ICO, SRA, CLC or HMRC.
4. Who we share it with
The firms quoting for your business: SRA-regulated or CLC-licensed. iPlace Global Ltd, who operate the quote engine and may offer you related group services. Stripe, if you pay on account at instruction; we never see or store your card details. Use of the service is free for you because firms pay us a referral fee.
5. Where it's stored
Normally within the UK/EEA. Where data leaves the EEA, transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
As long as needed to deliver the service and meet legal obligations, and no longer.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies for analytics and to make the site work; see the cookie policy for the list and your choices.
8. Your rights
You can withdraw consent, object to marketing, and request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data. Email hello@conveyancingindex.co.uk or write to: The Data Controller, iPlace Global Ltd, Derwent Business Centre, Clarke Street, Derby DE1 2BU.
